Internet Explorer users sometimes face the following issue: when they click on a button, nothing happens. Also, the layout of the page is a bit “weird”. This is because a specific Internet Explorer feature (called “compatibility view”) is turned on.

To solve this, two options:

  • Use another browser (Chrome, Firefox)
  • De-activate the “compatibility view”

In order to de-activate the “compatibility view”:

1. Go to Menu > Compatibility View Settings or Tools > Compatibility View Settings

Compatibility_1     or    Compatibility View01

2. Remove from the list and/or uncheck “Use Microsoft Compatibility Lists”

If you’re using an older version of Internet Explorer, you can also get to the same menu by clicking on the “broken window” icon in your address bar.
